Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Chipset Smartphone, like Moto X50 Ultra, Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, and so more

On Monday, March 18, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, touted as a more budget-friendly alternative to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This chipset incorporates advanced AI capabilities and is poised to power upcoming flagship-level smartphones. Several smartphone brands have already confirmed the adoption of this 4nm octa-core chipset for their upcoming models.



Moto X50 Ultra: AI-Powered Performance-

Motorola announced via Weibo that the upcoming Moto X50 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, positioning it as an "AI Mobile Phone." In global markets, including India, it will debut as the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, while in the US, it might carry the Motorola Edge+ (2024) moniker. Key features include a curved 6.7-inch 1.5K resolution 144Hz display with 2,000nits peak brightness, a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit, and a choice of three colors.



Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-

Xiaomi confirmed via Weibo that the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will globally launch with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, accompanied by the company's HyperOS user interface. Additional details about the handset are yet to be disclosed. Notably, a Xiaomi model with the identifier 24053PY09I appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site, possibly hinting at the Xiaomi 14 Lite for India and Xiaomi Civi 4 for China, though the company has not officially confirmed these models.



Redmi Note 13 Turbo: Mid-Range Performance-

Redmi teased in a Weibo post the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC in an upcoming mid-range smartphone, tentatively referred to as the "Redmi New Series." Speculation suggests it could be the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, potentially launching as the Poco F6 outside China. Rumored specifications include an Android 14-based HyperOS, a 6.78-inch 144Hz 1.5K OLED display, and a robust 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support.


iQoo Z9 Turbo: Flagship Performance-

iQoo revealed via Weibo that the iQoo Z9 series, scheduled for launch in China in April, will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. While specific models were not listed, leaks hint at the possibility of an iQoo Z9 Turbo variant equipped with this chipset. Expected to boast a 1.5K display and a hefty 6,000mAh battery, the iQoo Z9 Turbo is anticipated to deliver flagship-level performance.
