Vivo Y03: Overview
Launch and Availability-
The Vivo Y03, launched in Indonesia on March 12, succeeds its predecessor, the Vivo Y02, unveiled in India in December 2022. While the new phone boasts several upgrades, its potential release in India is yet to be confirmed by the company. Offered in Gem Green and Space Black color options, the Vivo Y03 is available for purchase in Indonesia through the official Vivo e-store.
Price and Configurations-
Starting at IDR 1,299,000 (approximately Rs. 6,900), the Vivo Y03 offers two RAM and storage configurations: 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB, priced at IDR 1,499,000 (approximately Rs. 8,000).
Display and Design-
The Vivo Y03 features a 6.56-inch LCD HD+ display with a resolution of 1,612 x 720 pixels, offering up to a 90Hz refresh rate and 269ppi pixel density. Its design is sleek, measuring 163.78mm x 75.73mm x 8.39mm and weighing 185g.
Performance and Storage-
Powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC coupled with a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, the phone delivers smooth performance. It offers up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 inbuilt storage, expandable virtually up to 4GB.
Camera Capabilities-
Equipped with a dual rear camera system, the Vivo Y03 boasts a 13-megapixel primary sensor alongside a QVGA camera and LED flash unit. The front camera, housed within a centred waterdrop notch, features a 5-megapixel sensor.
Battery and Connectivity-
The Vivo Y03 is backed by a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 15W wired charging via a USB Type-C port. It also supports various connectivity options including 4G LTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the phone retains a 3.5mm audio jack. Additionally, it comes with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Software-
The phone runs on Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14, offering a user-friendly interface and access to the latest features and updates.
