Recent reports indicate that Samsung is preparing to overhaul the design of its upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 series. Drawing from the existing Galaxy Buds 2 lineup, which comprises standard and Pro versions, the new series is expected to introduce the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro models.

Potential Design Alterations-

According to insights from The Chosun, a significant design shift could involve the addition of a stem, resembling a kidney bean shape. This would mark a departure from the stemless design of the Galaxy Buds 2. However, it's uncertain if this change will apply to both the base Galaxy Buds 3 and the higher-tier Pro version.

Improved Call Quality-

The incorporation of a stem in the Galaxy Buds 3 might lead to functional improvements. By relocating the microphones to the end of the stems, closer to the mouth, call quality could potentially see a noticeable improvement. Moreover, this redesign might enhance comfort and fit for users while allowing for the integration of larger batteries and enhanced hardware within each earphone.

Integration of AI Features-

There are indications that the Galaxy Buds 3 series will be integrated with AI features to further enrich the user experience. Recent updates have already brought a suite of Galaxy AI features to other Samsung earbud models like the Galaxy Buds 2, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and Galaxy Buds FE.

Battery Capacity-

Leaked details suggest that the charging case of the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro might house a battery with a rated capacity of 500mAh, slightly lower than that of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. However, typical values often exceed rated capacities, so any decrease may not necessarily result in diminished battery performance.

Launch Details-

While both the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Galaxy Buds 3 are anticipated, it's speculated that they may not be unveiled simultaneously. There's a possibility that at least one of the variants could debut alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 at an upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, rumored to occur in July.
